12 Days of Christmas Hat Tournament

Every year we get in the festive spirit and support Atlanta’s youth ultimate players with a fundraiser for AFDC Grants – our 12 Days (of Christmas) Hat Tournament! Mark your calendar, it’s always the first weekend in December, but check out our main page for a blog post for more details the closer we get.

What is 12 Days?!

  • A hat tournament (players must wear a hat and teams are “drawn from a hat”) benefiting Atlanta’s youth & AFDC Grants
  • Players sign up individually and are put onto coed teams of 12 (7 guys / 5 girls)
  • The 12 teams compete in a two-day tournament
  • Starting to see the 12 theme..?
  • Holiday costumes / hats strongly suggested
  • General merriment is had by all!

12 Days is the tournament for adult players. Check out Juniors 12 Days if you’re a youth player!

Questions, jokes, stories, or riddles can be sent to Paige Payne or posed on the forums.

Fancy Pants Dance Party

Participants in 12 Days also get free admission to the Fancy Pants Dance Party. Usually the weekend after 12 Days, we swap out cleats and frisbee gear for dancing shoes and semi-formal attire to enjoy this social event together.

This is also a fundraiser for AFDC Grants, so if you can’t make the tournament, you can buy separate tickets to this event. There’s a silent auction and additional fundraising activities as well, so bring cash for these donations!
