AFDC Jrs. is offering a free youth skills clinic for players in grades 7-12 on January 31st at Ebster Park in Decatur.
Registration is required! Please register HERE. More Details Below.
What: A 2 hour skills development clinic (and scrimmage!). We will focus on the fundamentals of speed and agility, and then apply these skills in ultimate-specific drills. This will be the first in a series of clinics that place emphasis on the fundamentals of agility for field sport athletes, led by long-time Youth Club Championship Coach and Physical Therapist Zach Hollis.
Who: Any ultimate player currently in Grades 7-12. All levels of experience are welcome!
When: Saturday Jan. 31st:
Girls Matching Players: 11:00am-1:00pm
Boys Matching Players: 1:00pm-3:00pm
Though the clinic programming is exactly the same, there are dedicated spaces for girls and then boys matching players.
Where: Ebster Park (125 Electric Ave, Decatur GA 30030).
Why: We hope to help develop our youth players as ultimate athletes, provide playing opportunities, and enable our youth players to develop stronger connections with each other in our community. It also serves as an unofficial kickoff to the high school season and an opportunity to learn more about our Youth Club Championship (YCC) Program.
Cost: Free!
Sliding scale from $0-100 for the event if people would like to contribute to offset field and staffing costs. Extra Funds will be distributed to help cover field and staffing costs and help pay for players who may need financial assistance for our Youth Club Championship Program this summer. Payment options are at the end of this form and are greatly appreciated!
