Update (5/17): Ultimate interviews talked with Dan Konisky of Spin

We are excited to announce the first ever Spin Ultimate Academy, brought to you by Spin Ultimate and The Atlanta Flying Disc Club.

The Spin Ultimate Academy is a new Ultimate training camp for high school boys and girls (ages 14-18).  The academy offers a chance for junior Ultimate players to play with and compete against the best young players in the Southeast while learning from an accomplished coaching staff, led by Team USA/Chain Lightning players Jolian Dahl and Mark Poole.

The academy will be held at the Georgia Soccer Park in southwest Atlanta from Tuesday June 19th – Saturday June 23rd.  Boys and girls high school players of all experience levels are welcome, as are players from both Atlanta and across the region.

Each day, we will focus on a specific aspect of the game and use teaching methods developed by the best college and club programs in the country. During the camp, players will hone their disc and Ultimate skills, develop their game knowledge, and learn proper training methods and nutrition, all with an emphasis on Spirit of the Game.  The academy will culminate with an open practice held by Chain Lightning.  This family-friendly event will feature food, games and a rare opportunity to watch one of the country’s premier Ultimate teams prepare for their upcoming season.

High school coaches are also invited to attend as the Academy will offer a unique opportunity to learn drills and coaching techniques from some of the country’s top Ultimate players and coaches.
