Hey everyone! Michelle VanHandel is stepping down as TD of our annual college tournament. She has done a great job over the last few years while dealing with the tumultuous Spring season in Atlanta. Many thanks to a job well done, Michelle.
Update 12/14/15:
Hurry! Reserve your space for the College/Adult tourney.
Note: You will be registering in the Juniors registration system which is different than the normal adult AFDC registration system.
The middle school and high school divisions are full, but you can add your name to the wait list. Register online and you’re name will be added to the wait list. The wait list is on a first come first serve basis. Your spot is not guaranteed. If you are accepted from the wait list, you will be notified via email.
Thanks for supporting Atlanta youth ultimate!
Dust off your hats and hide your straps, because on the fourth day of Christmas Paige Payne sent to me… all the details for the 12 Days of Christmas Hat Tournament!
Note: This is not the Junior’s 12 Days of Christmas tournament. All details for that tournament can be found at: https://www.afdc.com/12-days-

Women’s league is back!
Registration: Opens September 15th and closes October 5th.
When: October 11th – November 22nd
Where: Boulevard Crossing, 3pm – 5pm
EoS: Sunday, December 6th
Girl’s Junior League
We are excited to announce that for the first year ever, there will also be a girl’s junior league! Girls that sign up for Women’s League are automatically qualified for the junior league and don’t have to pay extra money. Games will take place from 2pm-3pm each day before Women’s League at Boulevard Crossing.
What does this mean exactly? That girls get to meet and play against other girls in the city before playing with all the great women that Atlanta Ultimate has to offer! At no extra charge (if they also sign up for Women’s League)! Just make sure you mention that you’re playing in both leagues in the Notes section when you sign up.
Howdy folks!
Fall league ultimate is upon us and I want to take this time to first respectfully disagree with McCargo. I <3 Goalty as much as the next guy, but I’m all about Ultimate, and for the next 3ish months, I’m all about Fall Ultimate. Continue reading
Thanks to the continued ground swell for ultimate in the Atlanta community and because of wonderful volunteers like Anita Summers, George Li, and others, the AFDC is proudly sending FOUR teams to compete this weekend at the USA Ultimate Youth Club Championships in Blaine, Minnesota.
Hello all,
I’m a huge Goalty fan. It’s the best. Yes, better than Ultimate… Fact!
The one thing that bothers me about Goalty in Atlanta is the number of teams we get each league. It’s not enough! I hate having to play against the same nerds every other game. What am I going to do about it you ask? Well, I’m taking over Fall Goalty with the hope of getting some new blood into the Goalty scene, spread the talent out a little and finally start to grow Goalty into what it should be!
Best,
McCargo
