2026 Youth Club Championship (YCC) Coaching Application: Now Open!


Are you interested in coaching the next generation of Atlanta’s best ultimate players? Do you want to work with some of the most experienced ultimate coaches in the city? Would you like to make a positive impact on youth ultimate here in Atlanta? Apply to be a Youth Club Championship (YCC) Coach for AFDC Jrs!

AFDC Jrs. is looking to round out its coaching staff for YCC 2026, which include the following roles: Head Coach(es), Assistant Coach(es), and Coaches-in-Training.

The following positions are open or potentially open for the 2026 Season:

cATLanta, U-20 Girls: Head Coach (1), Assistant Coach (2), Coach-in-Training (1)
rATLers, U-17 Girls: Assistant Coach (2)
flATLine, U-20 Mixed: Assistant Coach (1), Coach-in-Training (1)
ATLiens, U-20 Boys: Assistant Coach (1)
ATLas, U-17 Boys: Head Coach (1), Assistant Coach (2), Coach-in-Training (1)

Application Timeline:

  • Nov 14, 2025: Application opens
  • Dec 5, 2025: Priority application window closes (however, note that some positions may be filled on a rolling basis)
  • December 2025: Select applicants will be reached out to for interviews (rolling)
  • Late December – Early January: Coach teams finalized

Tryout Schedule

  • Tryouts will take place in March 2026. The YCC tryout schedule is posted on our Spring Calendar HERE.
  • March 7-8 flATLine (U-20 Mixed), March 14-15 ATLas (U-17 Boys, U-20 Boys), March 21 ALL TEAMS, March 31 – April 1 rATLers (U-17 Girls), cATLanta (U-20 girls).
  • Each team will have four tryout dates and accepted coaches are expected to make most, if not all of the tryout dates. Tryouts will take place at a field complex TBD in the Atlanta area.

YCC Season Schedule

  • Official team practices will start the week May 25th and run until the YCC tournament (August 1-3, 2026).
  • Teams will practice 2-3 times per week.
  • Coaches are expected to make the majority of practices (more details below)
  • There may be pre-season practices in the month of May once a week as well (optional for coaches)
  • Some teams may have a weekend tournament in June/July as well, either in ATL or in a nearby city
